Privacy
No accounts, no forms, no ad tags: there is very little here to guard, and we keep it that way.
What we never ask
Reading Comic Web Series takes no sign-up. There is no newsletter box, comment field or profile, so no name, email address or phone number ever reaches us. Third-party analytics and advertising scripts are simply absent from these pages.
Cloudflare, the front desk
Each visit to comicwebseries.com is answered through Cloudflare first. It keeps copies of pages near readers and turns away floods of junk traffic, and in doing so it sees technical details like your IP number. Its handling of that is governed by Cloudflare’s own published policy.
The server’s diary
Like practically every host on the web, our server writes one access-log line per request: a timestamp, the requesting address, the path, the referrer and the self-description your browser sends along. We tally those lines to see which pages get read, catch dead links and rein in runaway bots.
A tiny ping after your first move
The first time you tap, roll a mouse wheel or press a key on a page, it quietly posts one short note to us with three things in it: that page’s address, the domain that referred you (blank when you typed the address yourself) and a count, in thousandths of a second, of how long the page has been up. Scripts and crawlers rarely do any of that, so it lets us tell readers from robots. No cookie is set and no ID rides along.
The copy-code button
Hand-off pages show a short code to search for inside a partner app. The site puts that code on your clipboard in response to a single thing, your tap on the button beneath it. It never peeks at the clipboard, and nothing else on the site writes there.
Playback and partner apps
Episodes stream from machines belonging to each show’s owner or licensed distributor. For a few titles the site sets up a small in-browser helper, a service worker, whose only chore is unpacking the video file on your own device; it saves nothing about you. Once you jump across to a partner app you are on their turf and under their privacy terms, so skim those before creating an account there.
