World-class surgeon ambushed, heirloom destroyed, hand shattered by brothers denying her identity.
Chief surgeon Ava Carter lands after a São Paulo lecture expecting her father Edward, but instead the Langston brothers Pierce, Derek, and Ethan intercept her with orders to choose a husband. Derek and Ethan trap her at a school gate where Derek smashes her mother's pocket watch and stomps her right hand, the one she needs for surgery. Professor Charles intervenes and is beaten unconscious. Ava insists she is the Carter heiress, yet all three brothers call her an impostor and escalate the assault; when Pierce arrives he chokes her and snaps the already damaged hand. At the hospital the harassment continues until her assistant Arthur displays the family power ring, which the brothers still reject. With Charles's intelligence Ava uncovers the brothers' profiteering from the hospital, and at a banquet she reveals her identity — only for Edward to appear and confirm it, forcing the brothers to their knees. Their crimes are exposed, they are arrested, and their father Marcus attacks Ava before being taken into custody for attempted murder.
