Pilot husband discards sick daughter's ventilator for a dog mid-flight.
Caroline Hoover boards an Aureline Airways flight expecting a family trip with her pilot husband Wilson and their daughter Abby, who depends on a ventilator. After waking from a nightmare where Wilson mutilates her, reality turns darker when he throws Abby's life-support device aside to rescue flight attendant Olivia Johnson's pet. Wilson insists Abby is healthy, swaying the cabin against Caroline. Unknown to the passengers, Caroline is a top aviation safety inspector conducting a covert test of the airline. As Abby stops breathing in her arms, Caroline triggers an emergency alert, declaring the carrier in violation of regulations and demanding immediate backup.
