Hell's ruler adopts a bullied six-year-old after a typo.
Six-year-old Poppy endures relentless torment in a crumbling shack after her parents perished saving others. A Christmas Eve typo routes her letter to the Devil instead of Saint Nick. Satan responds by sending Cerberus, stripped of two heads and wearing a red bow, to pose as her puppy Pippy. The hellhound speaks, chases off an intruder, and becomes the family she never had. When cruelty at school escalates, Satan manifests as a giant shadow to shield her, violating infernal law and suffering black lightning wounds. Poppy senses her unseen protector, sending a whispered message back with Cerberus that softens the ruler's heart. As authorities move to place her in an orphanage, Satan adopts her as Lucifer Morningstar, binding their fates.
