Cousin cheats pitmaster; he fires up a rusted truck for payback.
Veteran pitmaster John transforms cousin Jimmy's struggling food truck into a three-hundred-thousand-dollar operation, only to receive a ten-thousand-dollar payout and watch his parents humiliated in public. Penniless and furious, he sinks his last dollars into a beat-up rig and begins smoking brisket and ribs alone. Every plate served from his battered smoker pulls customers away from Jimmy's thriving business, advancing a quiet campaign to topple the empire built on John's own sweat.
