A discarded egg hatches a queen who eats monsters to birth an empire.
Evan Cole enters the Awakening ceremony clutching his mother's final beast egg, only for it to shatter and reveal Alia, a stunted ant queen the examiners dismiss as trash. The ridicule triggers a blood pact that awakens her true S-rank Hive Queen authority: she can consume other beasts and mutate a rapidly expanding ant legion. Armed with this terrifying symbiosis, Evan vanishes into the wilds for three days of furious hunting before storming the academy trial, where he slays an S-rank mutant and claims the top rank. His victory exposes House Vale's forbidden magic and pulls him toward the Undercity, the Cerberus organization, and the Abyss lord Valhan. When a million-beast tide crashes against the Lower City, Evan and Alia achieve full Symbiosis to kill Valhan, securing Upper City citizenship and a future where he eventually marries Maya.
