At the coronation Alpha Lucas shocks everyone by claiming both Nora and her twin Mia as fated mates, then puts the Luna crown to a pack referendum. He casts the opening ballot for Mia, their mother follows suit, and the final tally leaves Nora with zero votes. Lucas later insists Nora remains his true bond and argues the title only steadies Mia's fragile wolf. Unmoved, Nora severs the mate connection entirely and decides the pack is no longer worth her loyalty.
